01 Acceptance of Terms

By using this website or engaging our services in any capacity — including submitting an enquiry form, booking an appointment, attending a consultation, or enrolling in a programme — you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use this website or our services. DNA Hakim reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the website after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

02 About Our Services

DNA Hakim is a DOH-licensed physician practice offering:

• Preventive metabolic health consultations (in-person, Abu Dhabi)
• Online consultations for patients worldwide
• Structured health programmes integrating classical Unani medicine and evidence-based metabolic science
• Personalised diet, lifestyle, and supplementation guidance
• Biomarker-based health assessments and follow-up care

All clinical services are delivered directly by Dr. Mohammad Rashid Khan. Website content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. Refer to our Medical Disclaimer for full details.

03 Appointments & Bookings

Appointments may be booked through our online booking form, WhatsApp, or email. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a written confirmation from DNA Hakim.

• Online consultations are conducted via a video platform agreed upon at the time of booking
• In-person appointments are held at our Abu Dhabi clinic location, confirmed at the time of booking
• Patients must arrive or connect on time; late arrivals may result in a shortened session at no adjustment to the fee
• DNA Hakim reserves the right to reschedule an appointment due to unforeseen clinical or operational circumstances, with reasonable prior notice

04 Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• More than 24 hours' notice: Full credit or rescheduling at no charge
• Less than 24 hours' notice: 50% of the session fee is non-refundable
• No-show (no contact): Full session fee is forfeited
• Programme enrolments: Cancellation terms are outlined separately in the programme agreement provided at the time of enrolment

05 Fees & Payment

Consultation fees are as published on our Pricing page and are subject to change without prior notice. The fee applicable at the time of booking confirmation is the binding amount.

• Payment is required in full prior to or at the time of consultation
• Accepted payment methods are confirmed at the time of booking
• Fees are quoted in UAE Dirhams (AED) unless otherwise stated
• International patients may pay in equivalent currency at the prevailing exchange rate
• Fees for laboratory tests, third-party investigations, or referred services are not included in consultation fees and are the patient's own responsibility

06 Patient Responsibilities

To receive the full benefit of our services and to ensure safe, effective care, patients are expected to:

• Provide complete, accurate, and honest information about their medical history, current medications, allergies, and symptoms
• Disclose all other treating physicians, specialists, or ongoing treatments
• Follow the care plan, dietary guidance, and lifestyle recommendations provided
• Attend scheduled follow-up consultations and communicate any adverse reactions promptly
• Seek emergency care immediately in situations that require urgent medical attention
• Not share prescription formulations or care plans with third parties as they are personalised to the individual patient

07 Scope of Practice & Limitations

DNA Hakim provides preventive and integrative metabolic health consultations. Our scope includes assessment, lifestyle medicine, Unani constitutional medicine, and evidence-based nutritional and supplemental guidance.

Our services do not include:

• Emergency or acute medical care
• Surgical procedures or hospital-based treatment
• Specialist psychiatric or psychological therapy
• Paediatric care (patients under 18 require a parent or guardian present)
• Issuance of sick leave or insurance medical certificates (unless explicitly offered)

Where a patient's condition requires specialist referral or hospital-level care, Dr. Rashid Khan will advise accordingly. Patients are strongly encouraged to maintain a relationship with a primary care physician alongside our services.

08 Programme Enrolment

DNA Hakim offers structured multi-session health programmes. Enrolment in any programme is subject to:

• Completion of an initial consultation to assess suitability
• Agreement to the programme-specific terms provided in writing at enrolment
• Payment of the programme fee as per the agreed schedule

Programme content, duration, and deliverables are personalised and may be adjusted by Dr. Rashid Khan based on clinical progress and response. Adjustments made in clinical judgement do not constitute a breach of the programme agreement.

09 Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, programme descriptions, the P5 Protocol framework, graphics, design elements, and the DNA Hakim brand — is the intellectual property of DNA Hakim and Dr. Mohammad Rashid Khan, protected under applicable copyright and trademark law.

• You may not reproduce, republish, copy, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from this website without prior written permission
• Personalised care plans, Unani formulations, and reports provided to you as a patient are for your personal use only and may not be shared, published, or sold
• You may share links to publicly available pages on this website for non-commercial, informational purposes

11 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, DNA Hakim and Dr. Mohammad Rashid Khan shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of this website or our services
• Outcomes resulting from incomplete information provided by the patient
• Adverse events arising from failure to follow prescribed care plans or to disclose relevant medical information
• Decisions made by the patient to discontinue a programme or prescribed protocol without medical guidance
• Third-party services, products, or platforms referenced on or linked from this website

Our total liability in any matter related to services rendered shall not exceed the fee paid for the specific consultation or programme in question.

12 Confidentiality

All personal, health, and consultation data shared with DNA Hakim is treated as strictly confidential and is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UAE healthcare data protection regulations.

Confidentiality obligations do not apply where disclosure is required by UAE law, a court order, or a regulatory body such as the DOH or MOH.

13 Website Use

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its underlying systems
• Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or index website content without permission
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form on this website
• Use this website to transmit spam, malware, or any harmful content

DNA Hakim reserves the right to restrict access to the website for any user found to be in violation of these terms.

14 Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from the use of this website or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Abu Dhabi, UAE.

For patients accessing our services from outside the UAE, local laws of the patient's country may also apply in relation to consumer rights and data protection. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory rights you may hold under your local jurisdiction.

15 Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be deemed severed from these terms without affecting the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
